IPPF Supply Chain Webinar – 14th June – 11am GMT

IPPF’s Supply Chain department is hosting a 1-hour webinar on Monday 14th June at 11.00 GMT, to address IPPF Member Associations questions and concerns in relation to recent cuts announced by the UK Government. The cuts will impact IPPF both directly and indirectly, as our partner, UNPFA Supplies, is also facing significant reductions in their budgets for 2021. IPPF is an implementing partner in the UNFPA Supplies partnership, and as 45 Member Associations benefit from commodities of contraception and technical support from UNFPA Supplies, this will therefore have an impact on commodity supply for Member Associations.

Following topics will be addressed during this session:

  • Update on the impact of the FCDO cuts on different routes of commodity supply to Member Associations;
  • Current and future product donation requests from UNFPA Supplies directly;
  • Mitigating actions: in-country and global advocacy with Ministry of Health, UNFPA (Country Offices) and other stakeholders;
  • Stock reporting mechanism to allow timely escalation and potential intervention to prevent stockouts;
  • Supply of commodities through IPPF: the APB process explained.

It is strongly encouraged to participate in the webinar in case your Member Association is based in a UNPFA Supplies focus country, but since we will also look at the general process of procurement and supply through IPPF, the webinar may also be of interest for Member Associations in non-UNPFA Supplies focus countries.
