Movement Accelerator Platform (MAP)

Movement Accelerator Platform (MAP)

The Movement Accelerator Platform (MAP) of IPPF consists of three centres:

  • The Countering Opposition Center analyses anti-gender and anti-rights movement activities and helps MAs to mitigate opposition attacks.
  • The Social Movements Center brings together SRHR and gender equality movements and activists from around the world to exchange experiences and strategies.
  • The Winning Narratives Center works with linguistic and cognitive experts to develop value-based, context-specific narratives on SRHR and gender equality.

The MAP can support MAs in their learning and development in two different ways. Firstly, there’s the Movement Accelerator Digital Platform which allows you to educate yourself at your own pace when is most convenient for you. Secondly, we can provide live training and workshops on request.

Movement Accelerator Digital Platform

What is it? The Movement Accelerator Digital Platform is a website where you can find e-learning modules, videos, toolkits, reports and much more related to opposition, movements and narratives on SRHR. Key contents include:

Who can join it? Anyone working for or collaborating with an MA can join the Movement Accelerator Digital Platform. However, it is not available to all members of the public as it contains sensitive information. So please don’t post about it on social media and only share it with people whom you trust.

How can I join it? Fill in this form and we will create an account for you as soon as possible.

Why should I join it? It’s free. It’s relevant to lots of different IPPF working areas. You can choose what content you are interested in and consume them at your pace whenever you want to. You will also receive a monthly newsletter with the most recent platform uploads. There is no reason not to sign up.

The three MAP centres can set up 1-on-1 calls with any MAs to advise on their areas of expertise. Further, the following workshops and training may be available upon request:
