PROFILES OF THE NEWLY APPOINTED TRUSTEES
Daren Katigbak
To be confirmed as an external member, Daren holds expertise in fundraising, program delivery and youth engagement. With board management experience in their former role as Deputy Chair of the Global Network for People Living with HIV and other board engagement roles, Daren has over five years of strong board relationship, global policy and advocacy experience in their skillset. Additionally, with a background in nursing, UN consultancy, and academia, Daren has significant expertise in advancing SRHR for underserved and marginalized communities, with additional lived experience that intersects with those communities. Daren is based in the Philippines.
Rada Valchonova
To be confirmed as an external member, Rada brings legal expertise in the humanitarian sector, particularly in the field of migration and has practical experience in family law, labour law, litigation, contract management and legal compliance. She has a strong commitment to reproductive health and social inclusion, particularly for underserved communities. Rada is based in Bulgaria and is under 25 years old.
Karina Vartanova
To be confirmed as an external member, Karina has over 20 years of experience in finance and public accounting across for-profit and not-for profit sectors. She is an expert in financial management, reporting and associated systems. Karina also has broad experience in both the not-for-profit sector and in corporate organizations. She brings a wide range of board experience, having served in various capacities, including as a chair and a treasurer with a focus on audit. Karina is a Russian national who lives in Switzerland.
